SHUEISHA GAMES announced that it will release a new Gintama themed board game titled “Gintama: Who’s The Shogun?”, which consists of the participating players having to respond to a given theme using a card with a character’s facial expression on it.
There are a total of 108 different cards with various comical facial expressions of Gintama characters on them, players draw such cards from their hands according to a given theme, and guess the card played by the one player (i.e. the Shogun) in the group who doesn’t know said theme. The game is an alternate way for fans of Gintama to enjoy the original work, and the iconic comedic moments that popularized the series.
The game is scheduled to be release in December 20, 2025.
