A week ahead of the start of the 3nen Zgumi Ginpachi Sensei anime’s broadcast, Shueisha webtoon platform JUMP TOON, announced a new webtoon adaptation of the novel, titled Gintama: 3nen Zgumi Ginpachi Sensei Tuuuunnn. This marks the first manga/comic format adaptation of the spin-off.
Like with other series published on the platform, this will also follow the webtoon format, using the vertical reading structure and colored panels. This work will also be drawn by a different artist, and not Sorachi himself. The art will be provided by illustrator Yuki Aonuma, with storyboarding by Ao Suzumemura. Both artists worked on the Jump+ manga Oishii Kouhii no Irekata (How To Make Delicious Coffee). The comic will be featuring original scenes and dialogues that aren’t in the main novel, enriching the experience even more.
The comic will begin on October 6, coinciding with the release of the anime adaptation which will be releasing on the same day.
