DECEMBER 21, 2024

The Gintama stage at Jump Festa ’25 took place today on December 21, with the main voice actors for the three members of the Yorozuya, Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi and Rie Kugimiya taking stage.
The stage was primarily focused on the ongoing Gintama 20th Anniversary – Hatachi no Tsudoi exhibition which is being held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Elizabeth appeared on stage to show the audience a video of the event, while Sugita, Sakaguchi and Kugimiya holding a conversation based on their predictions on the polls that were taken over the course of the year.
As the upcoming year marks the 2nd year of Gintama‘s 20th anniversary, the logo got renewed in advance by adding Sadaharu next to Elizabeth, which led to the three voice actors to predict what the logo will look like on the 3rd anniversary. New future projects for the Gintama franchise were also teased, with some of the ones scheduled for 2025 and 2026 being pixeled.
Lastly, the new official PV for the 3nen Zgumi Ginpachi Sensei anime was shown to the public. As stated in October, the upcoming spinoff anime is scheduled for a October 2025 release on TV Tokyo. After the PV, a letter by Sorachi was read by Kugimiya, which has become a tradition for every Gintama stage at the yearly event

As shown, Sorachi is showing love and support to the upcoming adaptation of the SAKAMOTO DAYS anime, which shares a couple similarities to Gintama, has Sugita voice the main character, and will air on January 11, 2025, by parodying the first volume of the manga, using Gintoki, Shinpachi & Kagura and renaming it “SAKATA DAYS”.
The stage ended with a bow led by Sugita.
