The new Gintama movie has been doing well in Japan, debuting on the movie charts at number 1, grossing an estimated box office revenue of 134,000,000 yen in its opening day. The movie, which remakes the arc from the original manga and expands it by adding additional scenes and characters, has also been receiving nothing but critical acclaim by media outlets and fans alike.
Thanks to this early success of the movie, Indonesian film distributor CBI Pictures has already decided to publish the movie in Indonesia. The announcement came today, and was met with lots of excitement from local fans.
