In September 2023, Aniplex announced 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray rereleases of anime published by them over the past 20 years, and Gintama: THE FINAL, which was initially released in Blu-ray format in August 2021 is one of the many chosen ones.
The movie which was previously released in HD, has been re-recorded and upscaled to 4K HDR10 for an even better experience of the final portion of the story. The product is set to be released on October 9, 2024, a day before Gintoki’s birthday.
