The Baragaki arc (Thorny arc) will be released in theathres as limited 3 weeks event, which will begin on November 10, 2023. As previously done with the 2D theater releases of Kabukicho 4 Devas and Shinsengumi Crisis in the past, the work consists of re-edits of episodes from the Baragaki arc into a single one, akin to a movie, with openings and endings omitted. Bonus footage has also stated to be included. A new site has been created for the special three-week event. Goods with newly drawn illustrations will be sold, and benefits will also be distributed to visitors.
The main key visual drawn for the event has also been drawn and released to accompany the announcement, featuring Hijikata on it. The art is a redraw of Gintama Lesson 365’s front color page (see Color Pages).
