An anime adaptation of the “Gintama 3nen Zgumi Ginpachi Sensei”, written by Tomohito Osaki and illustrated by Sorachi was announced at the Gintama Ato no Matsuri 2023 festival, on March 19, 2023. The series follows the story of teacher Sakata Ginpachi and his students within Gintama High School.
A PV was released at the end of the Gintama Ato No Matsuri‘s first half. The anime adaptation is the first out of the several projects that have been planned for the “Gintama 20th Anniversary Project”, that will begin in 2023. No release date has been announced yet.
